In order to depict correctly Gamow's cyclist moving at nearly the speed of light, one must also calculate what the rolling wheels would look like. This takes us beyond the uniform motion considered up to here. In order to be fully correct one would again have to calculate colour and brightness, but we will not do this here and instead consider only geometric effects.
